Cautiously positive for the situation at Arlanda

The weekend's chaos at Arlanda seems to have calmed down somewhat ahead of Monday's travel.

”"Even today, there are a lot of people in Terminal 5 because many travelers arrive much earlier than the two or three hours in advance that they need to arrive," says David Karlsson, press spokesperson at Swedavia.

At seven o'clock in Today there is about an hour's wait for security.

”"There is also a waiting time for check-in and it varies depending on which airline you are flying with."”

David Karlsson estimates that the pressure in Terminal 5 is slightly lower today compared to the weekend.

There was no need to redirect traffic to the terminal today.

On Wednesday, Terminal 4 will also open with new check-in counters and new security checkpoints.

”Hopefully it will contribute to a slightly better situation,” says David Karlsson.

”"We have staff for the new terminal, but we will have to continue to work on the basic problem of low staffing."”

The Border Police recommends that those who are traveling keep a daily check on Swedavia's website, where the situation is continuously updated.
