A Sunclass Airlines flight with 200 passengers that took off from Malmö this afternoon had to make a safe landing in Copenhagen.
The cause was that the plane had collided with a bird.
According to passenger Mickan, the plane slowed down sharply shortly after takeoff, but then continued to climb.
– The captain announced that the collision occurred with a seagull. Now we have just received the go-ahead that everything is okay, so hopefully we can leave now, she says.
Claes Pellvik, communications manager at Ving, confirms the incident.
– Shortly after taking off from Sturup, we had a collision with a bird, I don't actually know what species it was. And then it's standard procedure to have technicians check that there is no damage, he says.
