But the trend is unclear in the short term.
If you look at the last two years, the most expensive tickets have become cheaper – while the cheaper tickets have become slightly more expensive.
Something that has been affected by the pandemic.
– The price trend indicates that private travel has recovered and there is a high demand for cheap tickets. However, the demand for more expensive tickets is not the same, which indicates that business travel has not recovered to the same extent, says investigator Jonathan Sundin.
A break in the trend is also visible in the price of air and train travel. In a few cases, it is cheaper to fly between Stockholm and Gothenburg/Malmö.
– It's probably about single tickets to attract the most price-sensitive travelers, says Jonathan Sundin.
