Chinese authorities give the green light to the Boeing 737 Max after the aircraft model has undergone a series of safety adjustments.

The Max plane could return to service in China next year, after months of negotiations between Beijing and Boeing.

The announcement caused American Boeing's stock to surge, as it also means that more than 100 aircraft produced in the last two years can now be delivered to Chinese airlines.

In March 2019, the aircraft model was grounded following two crashes in a short period of time that claimed 346 lives.
