China will continue to negotiate with Airbus about a potential deal worth $18 billion, equivalent to 160 billion kronor.

This was said by the country's Prime Minister Li Keqiang, according to Bloomberg News.

The potential Airbus deal could signal a shift away from American Boeing in the wake of the trade conflict between the US and China, Bloomberg analyzes.

French Prime Minister Edouard Philippe is visiting Beijing to meet with Li Keqiang, and one effect of the visit is increased sales of French beef to China. In addition, the French Prime Minister wants to orchestrate a deal that would supply China with 180 Airbus A380 planes.
