Christer Fogelmarck has been appointed the new CEO of Visita. Christer has extensive experience in the Swedish tourism industry and most recently comes from the role of CEO and Group Manager at Parks and Resorts. He has also been a member of Visita's board since 2023.
– I am honoured by the trust placed in me and look forward to the assignment of creating even better conditions for the Swedish tourism industry. Visita's 6,000 members are a central part of the Swedish labour market and economy. More people need to recognise the importance and potential of the tourism industry as a driver of jobs and integration, says Christer Fogelmarck.
The tourism industry has faced many challenges in recent years. Several of these remain, but the opportunities are even greater. I will do everything I can to create the greatest possible benefit for all members.
Christer has a solid background in his role as CEO and Group Manager for Parks and Resorts, while simultaneously demonstrating a strong will and energy to strengthen the entire industry's importance for Sweden, says Visita's Chairman of the Board, Fredrik Reinfeldt.
Christer Fogelmarck will take up his position as CEO of Visita on 8 June 2026.
