Earlier on Tuesday morning, climate activist group Extinction Rebellion stated that they will carry out a climate action with the goal of stopping all train traffic with aviation fuel to Arlanda.
”"The action is part of a global campaign aimed at aviation's climate-damaging emissions," the group writes in a press release.
The police confirm that they were alerted to Sigtuna in Stockholm due to people expressing their opinions near the train tracks.
– There are people near a train track and now we need to find out why they are there. There are people there who need to be checked, says Tove Hägg, press spokesperson for the police.
Two people are suspected of trespassing, the police write on their website.
