Around a hundred Greenpeace activists gathered at Schiphol Airport in Amsterdam today in a demonstration for the climate. According to AFP, they are said to have chained themselves to fixed objects in the departure hall.

The activists protested against a planned expansion of the airport, which is already one of the busiest with around 71 million passengers last year.

A number of the demonstrators were arrested by Dutch border police for disturbing the peace during the permitted demonstration.
