Climate activists block German airports

Remove

Climate activists have carried out actions at airports in Berlin and Munich, writes the newspaper Bild.

In Munich, activists got in and glued themselves together to block the way out to the runway. The police removed them with solvent and arrested several people.

A similar protest was also held at Berlin Brandenburg Airport, where activists glued themselves to the wall. They too were quickly untied and arrested, according to police.

None of Thursday's actions are considered to have had any significant impact on air traffic.

A couple of weeks ago, the activist group Sista Generasi carried out a similar action in Berlin, which affected air traffic and forced many companies to redirect planes.
