Launching ten new direct routes for the summer season, including a number to completely new destinations within Europe from Stockholm Arlanda Airport, as well as two domestic routes to Luleå and Visby. This gives a total of 35 new routes and over 140 departures per week from Arlanda.
In connection with the inauguration of Ryanair's establishment and twenty-three new routes from Stockholm Arlanda Airport ahead of the winter season, the Irish low-cost airline announces a continued expansion of twelve new routes ahead of the summer season 2022. Ryanair is placing a total of four aircraft at the new base and opening a total of 35 new routes within six months, resulting in over 140 departures from Arlanda per week.
Half of the destinations are new to the airport and complement Arlanda's other destination offering. In connection with the establishment, Ryanair is also launching additional domestic services to Luleå and Visby from Arlanda.
– We are very pleased to welcome Ryanair to Arlanda and their continued expansion in the Swedish market. The twelve new routes to exciting destinations in Europe, including two domestic ones, are an important addition and complement to our airports' existing offering. At the same time, accessibility is improved both within and outside Sweden, and this applies not least to the important family and friends' travel. Accessibility is important in the restart after the pandemic and more direct flights are important for growth in the region and the tourism industry throughout Sweden. We have had a long-standing good collaboration with Ryanair, which we now look forward to developing even further in the future, says Charlotte Ljunggren, Director of Marketing & Sales at Swedavia.
