A couple escaped from a hotel in the Netherlands where COVID-19 positive passengers from South Africa are being quarantined.
Police arrested the couple on a plane at Schiphol Airport about to take off for Spain. The couple is now in isolation again, but not in the same hotel they escaped from.
13 of 61 COVID-positive passengers who landed in the Netherlands on Friday have been confirmed to be infected with the new omicron variant. Almost all are in quarantine at the hotel.
