Covid evidence caused chaos at Arlanda

Remove

Several travelers missed their flights on Saturday morning after queuing for hours at Arlanda.

The reason behind the chaos is said to be increased pressure at the check-in counter for those who need help registering their Covid certificates.

– We have had the start of Christmas traffic this morning and in combination with the fact that we have seen new or reintroduced restrictions in recent days, we could see that manual handling has increased significantly, says Rikard Steinholtz at SAS's press service.

– We enable automatic solutions for as many people as possible, to be able to upload test certificates beforehand. But for some travelers, manual handling is required.

SAS now urges its travelers to arrive at the airport at least three hours before departure.

– But it is also important to check what restrictions apply at your destination so you know what documentation you are expected to have, says Rikard Steinholtz.
