The cruise ship Aida Nova cancels its trip to the Spanish Canary Islands after passengers also tested positive for Covid-19.

The ship is in port in Portugal's capital Lisbon after 52 of the more than 1,000 crew members tested positive.

Initially, there was no information that any of the nearly 3,000 passengers were infected. But now twelve more people, four of whom were passengers, have tested positive, the port manager tells TSF Radio. Reuters on its website.

German Aida Cruises, which owns the ship, has decided to cancel the entire voyage.

Recently, several people have been confirmed to be infected on cruise ships. Health authorities in the United States are urging Americans to avoid going on cruises, even if they are vaccinated.TT
