Harrods department store has been subjected to a cyberattack, writes Sky News.

On Thursday afternoon, customers were unable to pay for their goods.

”"We have recently experienced an attempt to gain unauthorized access to some of our systems," the department store wrote in a comment to the British television channel.

To secure the systems, they decided to restrict internet access in the stores.

The attack is one of several targeting major British retailers. Earlier this week, Marks & Spencer, M&S, asked hundreds of employees to stay home from work after a similar incident.
