American airline Delta Airlines expects revenue for the current quarter to be in line with the same period in 2019, the last year before the coronavirus pandemic hit. The company announced this on Wednesday in connection with a presentation.
The company had previously guided for revenue to be seven percent lower than the comparable period in 2019, but is now raising the forecast due to increased demand. According to the company, customers are ready to go on vacation and pay higher prices in the wake of higher fuel costs.
Delta Airlines is the latest of the US airlines to raise its guidance. The stock rose 1.5 percent in pre-market trading on Wednesday.
