Delta Airlines will become the first major American company to require all new employees to be vaccinated against Covid-19.

”"For anyone who wants to work at Delta in the future, it will be mandatory to be vaccinated," says CEO Ed Bastian in an interview with CNN.

The requirement does not apply to employees who are already employed by the airline. However, Ed Bastian estimates that 75-80 percent already are and he encourages other staff to do the same. Certain restrictions, such as being excluded from working on international flights, may otherwise be relevant, according to Ed Bastian.
