Demand for air travel, measured as RPK (revenue per passenger kilometer), fell 91.3 percent in May compared to the same month last year, according to the International Air Transport Association, IATA.

The figure represents a marginal improvement from April, when it was -94 percent.

”The improvement was driven by a recovery in some domestic markets, most notably China,” IATA said.
