The Danish border police are allowing Swedes to travel via Denmark to travel on to other countries. The new decision comes from the Danish government and has been in effect for a week, writes Sydsvenskan.
”"If you are a resident of Sweden and traveling as a tourist, you must have documents with you that show that you have booked a hotel at your destination," Ida Sørensen, at the border police service line, tells the newspaper.
Swedes who are going to visit a "girlfriend" in Denmark are also allowed to enter the country, according to the rules.
The general rule, however, is that Swedish tourists are not welcome in Denmark due to the risk of infection with the coronavirus. At the same time, Norwegian, Icelandic and German travelers are allowed to visit Denmark.
