Denmark is tightening controls at the Swedish border, Danish Minister of Justice Peter Hummelgaard says in Danish TV2.
– The situation is serious, says Peter Hummelgaard. Increased control will be introduced from today at the Danish-Swedish border. This will be done through physical control at the Öresund train station, but also with the help of increased analysis work with the ANPG cameras at the border.
ANPG cameras can scan license plates. The decision to tighten controls comes after a recent wave of violence that is said to have links to Swedish gang crime.
