The historic hotel on Skeppsbron has undergone a successful transformation in recent years – and is now strengthening its team with Desiré Kjellberg.

Hôtel Reisen by Hyatt Unbound Collection has in a short time regained its position as one of the capital's premier hotels, and has also distinguished itself within Hyatt by winning Hyatt's award for best commercial team in 2024. Now Desiré Kjellberg is taking over the role of hotel director with the ambition to lift the hotel to new heights.

– It has been incredibly fun to follow the development of Hôtel Reisen. As Hyatt's first hotel in Scandinavia, it marked a significant step for international luxury hotel operations in the region, and Hôtel Reisen has quickly established itself as one of Sweden's leading players in the high-end segment. I am really looking forward to taking on the tasks that await me – it feels a bit like coming home, says Kjellberg.

The new director worked at Hôtel Reisen between 2006 and 2015, then as Hotel Manager. In recent years, she has gained valuable experience within the Stureplansgruppen hotel operations, where she was Commercial Director for, among others, Bank Hotel, Berns and Avalon – an experience that gives her a strong background to achieve the hotel's high ambitions.
