
In addition to the bankruptcy protection in Ireland, Norwegian has now also had a reconstruction application approved in Oslo.
Despite the difficult situation, the company reiterates that the goal is for all customers who have requested a refund due to cancelled flights during the pandemic to receive their money back.
“We have handled over two million cases and have reimbursed over six billion Swedish kronor to travellers affected by cancelled flights. Only a couple of per cent have yet to receive their money back,” writes Norwegian's Swedish head of communications, Charlotte Holmbergh Jacobsson, in an email.
