Destination Vemdalen nominated for "Hosting of the Year in Tourist Information 2024"”

Destination Vemdalen Tourist Information is nominated for Best Host 2024. Twelve nominated tourist information offices from all over Sweden are competing for this prestigious award. The winner will be presented at Visitaday on May 5th!

Destination Vemdalen, which operates the Tourist Information Centre at Vemdalsskalet without municipal support, is proud to be one of the selected and sees the nomination as recognition of their commitment to providing visitors with a warm welcome and first-class service. The other nominees are Falkenberg Tourist Information, Visit Lund, Strömsund Tourist Information, Nynäshamn Visitor Centre, Destination Kalmar, Destination Järvsö & Ljusdal Municipality Tourist Office, Gotland Tourist Office, Destination Östersund, Vadstena InfoCenter, Visit Hjo and Motala Tourist Information. All of these represent the high quality and professionalism that characterizes Swedish tourist information today.

About the award

The Visita Best Host in Tourist Information award was established in 2020 to recognize authorized tourist information centers that go the extra mile for their destination, are at the forefront of innovative working methods, and show pride in their destination through creativity and high-quality service.

The award is awarded annually to an authorized tourist information or tourist center "that, through an innovative and new-thinking approach, contributes to the development of hospitality within visitor services at the destination."”
