DHL Express is purchasing 12 electric cargo planes from startup Eviation to be used for package deliveries in the US in an effort to reduce carbon emissions, CNBC reports.
The delivery company aims for zero emissions by 2050. The plan is for the freight plane to be operational for package deliveries in 2024.
DHL Express is part of the German Deutsche Post.
