Starting this summer, travelers will be able to fly directly from Stockholm to Shanghai in China.
It is the airline China Eastern that opens long-haul flights between Arlanda and Pudong Airport in Shanghai.
Starting on June 16, four departures a week will be made with aircraft that can accommodate 262 passengers.
According to Swedavia, which owns Arlanda, demand for direct traffic between the two countries is high, both within the business community and among private travelers.
