SAS is investing heavily in Copenhagen's Kastrup Airport and plans to expand its route network with 15 new destinations in the spring of 2025. Among these new destinations is a direct route to Malta, which means that travelers from both Denmark and southern Sweden can now easily travel to Malta in just over three hours. The new route provides convenient opportunities for both leisure and business travelers to visit Malta, a destination known for its culture, history and sunny, warm climate.

SAS will operate the route with modern A320neo aircraft, with departures twice a week from 31 March 2025. The timetable is designed to give travellers the opportunity for long weekends from Friday to Monday, but also to enable comfortable work trips from Monday to Friday. From Copenhagen there are good connections to other parts of Scandinavia.

Malta is SAS’s southernmost destination in the Mediterranean and the country attracts visitors year-round with over 300 days of sunshine per year and a rich history and culture. SAS’s new route makes it easier for both leisure and business travelers to discover Malta’s wide range of experiences and activities, which includes everything from sun holidays and cultural experiences to conferences and trade fairs.
