For Swedavia as a company, it is a matter of course to take a stand for diversity, inclusion and respect for the individual, and not just to accept but also to value people's differences and diverse perspectives in our operations. Swedavia clearly stands up for everyone's equal rights and value, regardless of sexual identity, and strives to be an attractive and welcoming employer. Swedavia is marking the Pride period by raising the Pride flag at our airports and participating in Stockholm Pride in August, while our social media logo will be changed in June to show Swedavia's support during Pride month. Swedavia's commitment to issues of diversity and inclusion is long-term, and this year marks the eleventh time Swedavia has participated in Stockholm Pride.

Swedavia strives to be a workplace that is equal and equitable, and works towards an inclusive and engaging culture. As a company, we view diversity as an asset and a strength. The diversity of Swedavia's employees therefore also contributes to new ideas, openness, and better understanding towards both travellers and employees. This year, Swedavia is once again participating in the Nordic region's largest Pride festival, which attracts many visitors to Stockholm each year. By participating in Pride and acknowledging Pride month, Swedavia continues to stand up for diversity and the equal rights and worth of all people, regardless of sexual orientation or identity.

– During Pride Week in Gothenburg in June and Stockholm in August, we will, among other things, have a special photo wall for those who want to take pictures of themselves at Sweden's largest airports, Stockholm Arlanda Airport and Gothenburg Landvetter Airport, and of course we will also fly the Pride flag during these weeks, and we look forward to participating in the Pride parade, which we have been part of since 2011, says Karl Eklund, Airport Manager for Stockholm Arlanda Airport at Swedavia.

Swedavia has received several awards for the company's diversity and inclusion work. In 2022, among other things, Swedavia was named one of Europe's leading companies in diversity for the second year in a row in a survey by Statista commissioned by the Financial Times.

- Participating in Pride has become a natural part of Swedavia's activities. The word pride itself, meaning to be who you are without limitations or obstacles, also signifies freedom for all people regardless of background, gender or sexual orientation, and opens up new opportunities. Swedavia is improved by diversity, and we work to create and maintain an open and inclusive work culture. Inclusion fosters innovation and new ideas. Everyone should feel welcome with us – colleagues, partners, and of course, most importantly, our travellers, says Marie Wiksborg, Director of Business Support at Swedavia.

The Pride flag, also known as the Rainbow flag, is a strong and important symbol within the LGBTQIA+ movement (including LGBTQ+) as it stands for diversity, respect, and pride, but also respect for the diversity in society and our various interpersonal relationships. Pride Month, which celebrates diversity and the LGBTQIA+ movement worldwide, was established in 1970 and takes place in June. West Pride in Gothenburg takes place between 10-16 June and Stockholm Pride between 29 July-4 August.
