Göteborg Landvetter Airport continues to show positive passenger growth, and international traffic has increased by 6.2 percent over the year.

The airport is attracting new flight routes, and two of them have had their inaugural flights in recent days. Western Swedes can now easily visit Europe's southernmost country, Malta, as well as Wrocław, Poland's fourth largest city.

Two new flight routes have now started from Landvetter. Ryanair launched its new direct route to the Mediterranean island of Malta, which will be served once a week during the summer season. The Polish cultural capital, Wrocław, has also been inaugurated, with Wizz Air flying there on Mondays and Fridays.

"It is very pleasing to be able to offer an expanded range of destinations and, for the summer, to launch two exciting new destinations within Europe. It also makes it easier for our tourists to get to our growing airport and region," says Charlotte Ljunggren, Airport Director at Gothenburg Landvetter Airport.
