When the 2018 WIN Awards were presented in London on Monday evening, Stylt Trampoli and their design project Downtown Camper by Scandic emerged as winners in the ”Urban Hotels” category.

The award was presented for the ninth time, and during the ceremony in London on November 19, the WIN Awards (the World Interiors News Awards) brought together leading interior designers, architects and product designers from around the world to celebrate good design.

When the award for best urban hotel design was presented, it was clear that Downtown Camper was the winner. Other nominees were 25 Hours Hotel Das Tour, The Principal Edinburgh Charlotte Square, Capri by Fraser Berlin and Grand Poet Hotel by Semarah.

”It’s fantastic to win among the best in the world in a competition that rewards innovation,” says Stylt’s founder Erik Nissen Johansen. ”Together with Scandic, we have created an innovative hotel where creative excellence, guest experience and business acumen go hand in hand.”

Downtown Camper has also previously received international attention and has been named the world's best "hangout" by National Geographic Traveler.

”"This is very big for us. From day one we have worked with soft values; engaging guests and staff in our vision and our offering. At Downtown Camper, luxury is about community, inspiration, new experiences and, not least, having fun, and Stylt has given us fantastic conditions to succeed in this," says Jacob Dahlberg, GM at Downtown Camper.

The design forum World Architecture News annually presents the WIN Awards (World Interiors News Awards) to highlight the very best design projects worldwide. The WIN Awards are divided into around 20 different categories for the best design in, among other things, museums, restaurants, hotels and cafes. The jury consists of internationally leading interior designers and architects.
