Dubai will allow foreign tourists back in from July 7, the government announced. People with residence visas in the emirate will be allowed to enter as early as Monday.

Entrants will be required to provide proof of a recent negative coronavirus test, or undergo testing at the airports.

Dubai, whose economy relies on tourism and retail, is gradually easing the lockdown measures imposed by the United Arab Emirates more than two months ago. Dubai is one of the seven emirates in the country.
