Easa: Avoid flying to and from Belarus

Remove

The European Aviation Safety Agency (EASA) is now urging all European airlines to avoid Belarusian airspace.

The Swedish Transport Agency has also stopped all Belavia flights between Sweden and Belarus.

The flight that was supposed to depart from Arlanda in Stockholm to Minsk in Belarus on Wednesday was canceled after the announcement the night before that the Swedish Transport Agency had revoked the traffic permit for Belavia-Belarusian Airlines for flights between Sweden and Belarus.

– There is no criticism of the airline. But we have indications that it is not ruled out that the Belarusian air traffic control cannot conduct safe operations, says Gunnar Ljungberg, director of the Maritime and Aviation Department at the Swedish Transport Agency, to TT.
