The uncertain geopolitical situation is being felt by the British low-cost airline Easyjet. Ahead of the summer, the number of bookings has fallen compared to the previous year, as travellers become increasingly hesitant.
– Travellers are waiting and booking later, notes CEO Kenton Jarvis.
For the second half of 2026, the booking rate is currently 58 per cent, a decrease of 2 percentage points compared to the previous year.
The company has simultaneously been allowed to raise ticket prices due to rising fuel costs, however, there should be no risk of cancelled flights due to fuel shortages, according to the CEO.
– We have no concerns and plan to proceed on schedule, says Kenton Jarvis.
