Easyjet is rising over 10 percent in London after reports this weekend that American investment company Castlelake is in the early stages of considering a possible bid for the low-cost airline.
No inquiry has been made to Easyjet's board and there is no guarantee that a bid will be made or what terms a potential bid would have, Castlelake noted.
Easyjet warned last week that the company's full-year outlook remains uncertain as the war in Iran drives up fuel costs and bookings decline ahead of the summer.
