With this year's electric flight tour, SRF and Green Airport have made a unique demonstration of electric flight at 20 regional airports throughout the country. Something similar has not been done in other countries.
The tour includes the electric aircraft U15 E Phoenix, flown by a team from Pure Flight. More information about the aircraft can be found at here. The electric flight tour is being carried out to showcase electric flight locally but also to describe the climate work that is taking place at the airports and the transition that aviation is making. The development of electric flight, the incorporation of biofuel and, in the long term, hydrogen technology are the most important contributions to achieving fossil-free travel for the entire industry.
