Emirates turns profit – the group sets new record

The airline Emirates turned a profit in the last financial year 2022/23.

The result was 10.6 billion dirhams, equivalent to 29.7 billion SEK, compared to a loss of -3.9 billion dirhams the previous year.

Revenue increased by 81 percent as the company reestablished its global network and had more passenger flights. 

Looking at the entire group, which in addition to Emirates also includes the dnata business, there were new records in terms of both results and revenue. 

The result was 10.9 billion dirhams (3.8) on revenues of 119.8 billion dirhams.

”We enter 2023-24 with a strong positive outlook and expect the Group to remain profitable. We will work hard to achieve our targets while keeping a close eye on inflation, high fuel prices, and political and economic uncertainty,” said CEO and Sheikh Ahmed bin Saeed Al Maktoum.
