With the ambition and goal of leading Grand Hotel Saltsjöbaden into the future, Erik Pändel is now taking over the role of CEO and will drive the work of developing and refining the historic hotel.

With many years of experience in the hotel and restaurant industry, most recently as Food and Beverages Manager at the award-winning Scandic Haymarket, Erik Pändel has extensive experience in developing concepts for destination hotels. Together with the hotel owners, he has a clear picture of what they want to develop the iconic hotel destination into.

The hotel is now in the starting blocks for a comprehensive development of concepts and offerings. At the same time, the final details are being put into a thorough renovation plan that takes great care in the unique atmosphere and history that resides within the hotel's walls.

– Taking on the role of CEO and leading the work that Grand Hotel Saltsjöbaden now has ahead of it is an incredibly exciting and honorable assignment. It is with great respect that I, together with my employees, now take over and complete the journey that Katarina Romell has successfully begun, says Erik Pändel.

It was in the late 19th century that the influential bank director KA Wallenberg had the Grand Hotel Saltsjöbaden built with the dream of creating Sweden's equivalent of the French Riviera. The hotel was inaugurated in 1893 and has since welcomed guests from all corners of the world for relaxation, meetings, elegance and luxury.

According to the press release.
