Vasaloppet strengthens the organization and hires Erika Christensson as new marketing and sales manager.
Erika most recently came from a job as head of content and digital channels at Sveaskog, but is best known from her time at SVT, where she worked for eleven years at SVT Sport and with Vinterstudion.
During his time as project manager at Vinterstudion, Vasaloppet's new marketing and sales manager has been on site in Berga village, in Mora and at the controls along the track and experienced Vasaloppet up close.
– I have been impressed by Vasaloppet's organization and the quality they offer both the participants and all of us who are on site around the track. Getting the chance to be part of this organization feels incredibly inspiring and I am already looking forward to being there, says Erika Christensson.
Erika will now be responsible for Vasaloppet's marketing and sales department, which in recent years has taken major steps forward in several areas to broaden Vasaloppet's product range and services as well as the relationship with the approximately 100,000 participants in the running, cycling and ski races.
– Vasaloppet is an event that is constantly evolving and with Erika's expertise we will be able to continue this journey into the future, says Vasaloppet CEO Eva-Lena Frick.
– Vasaloppet has strong development work underway and this is where I take over, to continue creating experiences for the participants, the audience and TV viewers where tradition meets innovation, including through new digital opportunities, says Vasaloppet's new marketing and sales manager Erika Christensson.
Erika Christensson starts on February 11th and can thus participate during Vasaloppet's winter week, which begins with Kortvasan on February 22nd and ends with the 95th edition of Vasaloppet on Sunday, March 3rd.
