Etihad Airways is bringing together a range of new and existing sleep, food and wellbeing initiatives under the Etihad Wellbeing concept. Features include fewer in-cabin announcements, new meal options, enhanced sleep products and dedicated content for meditation and relaxation.

The new program covers the entire journey, from lounges at Zayed International Airport in Abu Dhabi to products and services on board.
One part is the airline's Quiet Cabin initiative, where the number of unnecessary announcements is reduced to create a quieter environment in the cabin.
The entertainment system also offers content for meditation, stretching and sleep. Several of Etihad's aircraft also use cabin lighting, which the company says is designed to facilitate rest and reduce the effects of jet lag on long-haul flights.
“We are bringing together a range of practical improvements across our cabins and services, all designed to help guests sleep better and feel more refreshed when they arrive,” said Jyotsna Chowdhry, Vice President Product and Hospitality at Etihad Airways.
New products in the premium cabins
In First and The Residence, Etihad offers cotton bedding, memory foam mattresses and sleepwear, among other things. First travelers also receive ESPA skincare products, face and eye masks.
In Business, the airline has recently introduced new toiletries featuring skincare products from Korean brand Laneige. According to Etihad, the airline is the first airline to partner with the brand and is currently the only one to offer its products on board.
Etihad is also introducing its own fragrance to be used both on board and in the airline's lounges.
More food and beverage options
The food selection is complemented by more protein-rich and plant-based options. There are also special meals for different dietary needs, including lactose-free, gluten-free and sodium- or fat-reduced options.
Drinks with vitamins and electrolytes are also offered on board.
At Zayed International Airport, there are designated quiet areas in the lounges as well as Be Relax by Etihad Spa, which offers skincare, massage and hair treatments, among other services.
Etihad states that the Wellbeing program will be continuously developed with additional products and services.
