The European Parliament has formally approved a common so-called vaccine passport that is intended to be used for travel within Europe during the pandemic. The digital certificate will show whether a person is vaccinated, has tested negative or has recovered from Covid-19.
”"It makes it easier to travel freely and helps ensure that restrictions can be gradually lifted in a coordinated manner," the European Parliament writes in a press release.
The certificate will take effect on July 1 and will be valid for the next twelve months.
