EU to blacklist airlines involved in migrant smuggling

The EU will blacklist airlines, ferry lines and other transport companies that participate in human smuggling to Europe.

This was said by the President of the European Commission, Ursula von der Leyen, today.

The background is what is currently happening on the border between Poland and Belarus. Sweden's EU Commissioner Ylva Johansson calls it a state-sponsored migrant crisis.
