Pilots at the German airline Eurowings have announced a three-day strike next week. The threat comes after negotiations over improved working conditions broke down, according to the German pilots' union Cockpit.

Demands from the pilots include longer rest periods and a reduced number of maximum hours in the air.

The strike is scheduled to take place from Monday through Wednesday.

Eurowings is a subsidiary of German Lufthansa. (TT)
