The real estate company Fabege and the hotel chain Nordic Choice Hotels are building a new hotel in Arenastaden, next to Friends Arena and Mall of Scandinavia.

The deal is based on three separate agreements with terms between 10 and 20 years. The total rental value is approximately SEK 48 million per year, according to a press release.

The new hotel will be 11 stories high and consist of three parts: a hotel part with 336 hotel rooms, a part with 88 rooms for so-called long-stay, a concept where people stay for slightly longer periods, and an office part where Nordic Choice Hotels will locate its Swedish headquarters.

Construction on the project is scheduled to begin in 2018, and when the hotel is complete, the district will have 1,000 hotel rooms. Nordic Choice Hotels will move its headquarters in 2021, and the first guests will be welcomed to the hotel in the first quarter of 2021.
