Shortly before 5:30 a.m. on Monday morning, the ferry Aurora ran aground at the ferry terminal in Helsingör. It is currently unclear what damage may have occurred to the ferry.

– The cars cannot drive out as usual, but we are currently moving the ferry Hamlet from the other quay so that Aurora can back in and be emptied of cars, says Jesper Maack, press officer at Öresundslinjen.

Several of the departures from Helsingborg to Helsingör are cancelled.

Once passengers and vehicles have disembarked, traffic will resume, but to a limited extent.

– We will now run half-hourly services with Hamlet and Tycho Brahe while we investigate the damage to Aurora, says Jesper Maack.

No people were reportedly injured during the incident.
