The government is investing 125 million SEK in air and ferry traffic to Gotland.

This could make a ticket for permanent residents several hundred kronor cheaper, according to the government.

Ferry prices to and from the island have increased by over 50 percent since 2017 and permanent residents have protested.

– This is historic news, good news for Gotland, says Minister of Infrastructure and Housing Andreas Carlson (KD).

The government is also taking a long-term look at how ticket prices can be reduced.
