Finnish airline Finnair had 916,100 passengers in March, 2 percent fewer than in March last year. The figure was negatively affected by strikes and the fact that Easter falls in April this year, according to Finnair's traffic report for the month of March.

The number of passengers traveling with Finnair in March increased significantly in transatlantic traffic, was stable in Asia and Europe but decreased in the Middle East and domestically, writes Finnair.

Total capacity, measured in available seat kilometers, was stable in March while RPK, revenue per passenger kilometer, decreased by 2 percent. Capacity utilization, measured as cabin factor, decreased by 2.1 percentage points to 72.8 percent.
