The airline Norwegian Air flew 1.2 million passengers in February, which corresponds to an increase of 83 percent compared to the same month the previous year.

This is stated in a press release.

The cabin load factor was 84 percent. Capacity (ASK) was 1,826 million seat kilometers while actual passenger traffic (RPK) was 1,530 million seat kilometers.

”"We are pleased with the traffic figures over the past month, and we are particularly pleased with our load factor of 84 percent," comments Norwegian's CEO Geir Karlsen, pointing out in this context that the high load factor also increases the company's fuel efficiency.

Norwegian is now increasing capacity ahead of the summer season. The company is bringing in new aircraft and new staff to meet the "strong demand" that Norwegian is seeing in bookings, according to Geir Karlsen.
