The Coastguard's ship has collided with one of Eckerö Line's boats. It concerns the M/S Eckerö and one of the Coastguard's ships which, after the collision, also crashed into the quay at Grisslehamn. Aftonbladet was the first to report this.

– Our ship has collided with M/S Eckerö while docked, and there are no reports of injuries. We now need to find out what happened, says press manager Mattias Lindholm.

The incident will be reported to the Swedish Transport Agency and possibly also to the police, in accordance with the minutes.

– We are not investigating ourselves, says Mattias Lindholm.

A passenger on the ferry says that their party had only just boarded and were sitting and waiting for departure when they heard a loud bang.

– The ferry started to move sideways, so it was a proper crash. Everyone was extremely worried, says the passenger.

No vessels are taking on water and no oil spill has been detected. No injuries have been reported.

The collision occurred just before 10:00 am, right before M/S Eckerö was due to depart.

M/S Eckerö has sustained minor damage above the waterline. Due to the situation, the 10:00 and 13:30 departures on Wednesday have been cancelled, Eckerö Linjen writes on its website.

A review and assessment of the damage to both boats is now underway.
