Fewer deaths than feared in India train crash

On Friday, three trains collided in Odisha, India. 

A passenger train derailed after colliding with a freight train. Then an oncoming passenger train crashed into the carriages of the derailed train.

According to the Reuters news agency, it was feared that over 280 people had died in connection with the incident, but now new figures show that the number of fatalities is fewer.

A total of 275 people died in the train crash and several hundred were injured, reports TT.
