The number of seats on long-distance trains and buses in Sweden will continue to be limited until August 14.

The seat restriction means that the number of passengers may not exceed half the number of seats on buses and trains with a route length of over 150 kilometers.

”"It is a hard blow to an industry that needs the summer season to be able to conduct its business. It is extremely sad that the constructive suggestions for improvements from the entire industry have not been listened to at all when introducing these types of restrictions," says Anna Grönlund, industry manager for Sweden's bus companies.
