Vy Tåg must pay 440,000 kronor in fines for deficiencies in punctuality, comfort, number of seats and for three canceled trains, according to a decision from the Swedish Transport Administration, reports P4 Västerbotten.
According to the authority, Vy has failed to live up to the agreement the company has for night train traffic between Stockholm and upper Norrland. The largest item in the fine is the cancelled trains, which cost Vy 300,000 kronor.
The penalty is levied by reducing the state compensation to the company for February, according to P4.
