Finland will gradually begin easing restrictions from February 1st instead of mid-February, as was previously planned.
The reason is that the burden on the healthcare system has decreased, the government announced on Thursday evening. The burden is still high, but the number of seriously ill people being treated in hospitals has decreased significantly.
The relaxations mean, among other things, that restaurants will be allowed to stay open until 9 p.m. Bars will be allowed to stay open until 6 p.m., but must stop serving alcohol at 5 p.m., writes Yle.
In Norway, the government has called a press conference on Tuesday evening and is expected to announce an easing of restrictions, according to Daily Paper.
The restrictions will be removed gradually, Norway's Minister of Health Ingvild Kjerkol tells Dagbladet.
In Denmark, the government announced on Wednesday that the country's restrictions are removed February 1st.
